Default What is traxxas releasing next?

I was at my local hobby shop a couple weeks ago and I overheard a conversation between an employee and a customer about a new vehicle that traxxas is releasing. I didn't hear the whole conversation and I didn't ask so please take this with a grain of salt. They were talking about the x-maxx so I'm assuming it's something similar.

Pretty much anything Traxxas releases is similar to at least a couple vehicles that they already have. Lol

Thereís been a couple that were different in the past 4/5 years. 4Tec was a bit of a step out for them. TRX4. And they did have the Funny Car before RC drag racing went mainstream.

Strictly speaking the UDR and X Maxx were also fairly stand alone that didn’t borrow from their existing 1/10 or whatever scale lines. One could argue the Maxx is just a shrunk down X Maxx but they did have to use all new parts for it too.

Was browsing ebay and noticed that Traxxas even recycles names. Lol. Apparently the tires for the XMaxx are called Sledgehammer? Don't get me wrong, that's kinda cool to bring that name back for something unrelated. I would think that the guys who have been around long enough will probably get a kick out of it. It's just funny coming from the kings of recycling. Lol

I highly doubt they will do a Nitro Xmaxx. Niro just doesn't sell well on he Basher platform anymore. Nitro is mostly racer oriented now. More than likely is jut a revision of something they already have. that's their MO.

With Losi now having a SCT based drag car. I wonder if Traxxas has a Slash based one coming

Team Associated has one too so I foresee Traxxas following suit.

I wish they would do a summit 2.0 and not even a complete revision just bigger diffs and a little faster motor, everything else about the truck is perfect
