Default Clay dirt oval

What pinion/spur set up for a slash 2wd on a clay outdoor oval track should I try.
I have now 27/75, which isn't bad but is there any recommendations?
Thanks

Jake

Gearing is going to be more of a trail and error than a question anyone can answer. Unless you have locals at the track that could answer. We have two local tracks, and the same car gets geared differently at each.

If your motor is still cool, go up a few teeth and give it a try.

Jake, not to be elusive, but as Alex explained, way too many unknown variables to answer your inquiry here for us ... 12T Titan or different motor? size of track? long straights, sharp turns that require getting out of the throttle? sweeping turns, short straights, momentum track, etc., etc... clay hard pack, loamy, watered and takes power or slicked off, etc ? ... tire type, compound and diameter all have an affect on gearing too ... motor temps combined with track surface and how your car responds out of 2 and 4, and then at mid and end of the straights will pretty much tell you where your gearing sweet spot will be ... or, you could just ask a couple of the local front runners who have similar set-ups for a good starting point ...

Where will you be running and what class of car/truck? do they have a Facebook page, or website? never a bad idea to ask those that own/run the track for their suggestion as well
