Default B-6 conversion build question

I have decided to build my spare AE B-6 into a sprint car. My question is what transmission to install. I run offroad at the same tracks , same clay. We are running the laydown trans running JC dirt webs and Elipse tires . Anyone have any suggestions on where to start. I have laydown, Layback and standup available.

My wife says the same sort of thing to me whenever I start wondering about things that happened back in the 60's ... sorry, another senior moment
