Ottsix voodoo pins are generally accepted as the "best", but like everything it depends on the situation. Compound and foams will make a big difference. Hotbodies rovers and sedonas are also good in the right situation (smoother rock generally), but need to be worked on to get the best out of them, shaving sidewalls, cutting/removing lugs and depending on the weight of the rig narrowing too.

I run silvers on my 2.2 pro, but also have golds and blues

Never heard of that motor before, but generally speaking the best brands are either holmes hobbies or team brood. Both manufacturers make many different motors, so then its a case of picking the best one for your application.

My scale class 3 crawler wraith runs a holmes torquemaster expert 40t with a holmes brxl esc on 4s. My u4 wraith runs a tekin roc412 2300kv with a mamba max pro on 4s. One of those setups might be perfect for you, or both of them might be rubbish, it all depends on your end goal. (you're getting a wraith, right?)

ahh. It would be a step up from a generic motor, but not on the same level as a brood or holmes.

Plus 55t is terribly slow, unless you run very high voltage.

It is very slippery where my mates go & they all run 55t but I'm going to get a 40t as well for the other locations

I'm happy enough with the torquemaster 40t on 4s. As the name suggests, gobs of torque, but still has enough wheelspeed that a blip of the throttle will clear the tyres and help jump gaps/down ledges

Briefly on a mates vehicle. They work fantastic and am considering getting them for my class 3 wraith as I hate how not at all scale the rovers on there are. It's hyraxs, rock beast II's or klr's

At the moment I don't mind if they are not to scale as I'm learning so I'll need every bit of help I can get

I'm getting both sets of tyres that I have been recommended

I'm also looking at getting some Stainless Steel links just to add strength & corrosion resistance

I'm also looking at some beef tubes & patties or tips

I ended up getting a new speedy & 2 motors one 55t & one 40t package deal

So next upgrades will be servo, chubs, hubs & transmission

I don't think that I have missed anything I'll try & take photos of it as I go & post when I have gotten most of the upgrades done
