Default New Trail Runner - Recommendations

So I am looking to enter the world of trail running with some basic crawling. Really interested in building out the scale side of things too since scale modeling is what first exposed me to the RC world. I can get a Traxxas XL-5 and Axial 27T motor for cheap and already have a 4 channel radio and plenty of servos. I am looking at the Axial SCX10 G6 Kit right now and was wondering if there are any other models I should be checking out. Below are links to the two kits I am eyeballing. I know the Dingo is a shorter wheelbase than the G6 but are there any other real differences I should be aware of?

Either of those will do. Wheel base is your difference. And can be changed for cheap. The ascender does well. And is a bit more scale. (Servo mounts to frame).I have many Axials but no scx10 lol. But I like they're newest. Rr10 bomber.

IMO I would start with the scx10 chassis. Hard to beat axial for quality and performance. Also aftermarket support is incredible. Wheelbase is a 5 min change. Especially when running aluminum links. I do like the g6 body better. If that helps. Lol

I'm here to say a crawler king makes a nice trail rig. I have a few. One is a highly modded ck......one is almost a 6x6. ....and the last is half ax10 half crawler king lol. Taking an ax10 chassis and using ck diffs and trans.
