The interior showed up. I plan to add some paint to it so that it matches the outside panels.

I got tired of painting. I have another coat to go and some more detail to go.

I have The Traxxas Slayer bumper cut up and modified to get the looks that I need. The bonus is it is a great handle to carry it with.

The bumper is now snug to the body and the right size.

I like it. I've got a bunch of stuff and am thinking about a build like this. How does it handle with the 1/5 scale tires and wheels. Do they weigh a lot more than say a 3.8 mt set?

They weight more but because this is a rock crawler it is a something that is worth the time and money. If you have the skills to do this build you will not be disappointed!
With a 1/5 scale steering servo and the overall design of this build It will out perform the Summit and the Yeti XL kit. Your not going to save money but you will have the best of both!

It's not done yet but I took a picture of it with my other large scale builds.
It blends right in. It's a small guy!

I painted the skull heads. The camera isn't very friendly with the quality of the work. Oh well.

The reason for the bumper is not just for looks but it works as a stop for the body when it is open.
I added a swivel to the rear summit bumper and a stainless D-ring for better detail and to use as a way to pull Axial Yeti XL's from being stuck trying to fallow me! lol!

I went with M1 spur and pinion gears instead of the 32 pitch Traxxas gears.

I should have cleaned the lens before taking this picture!

I also broke a Spool in less than 5 min. today on my first run!

I can't believe the power these little motors have! It pushes this 17 pound Buggy with no problems. In fact it broke the rear spool in less than 5 minutes. I bought 2 to try in my boat years ago. I don't remember the kv but it is just right for a summit gear box. It has a 5mm shaft so, it is meant to handle torque! I will need to be looking into a mesh sock to keep dirt out.

This how I found more traction. I cut a hole in the center of the tire and then installed under sized Foam on the inside of the tire. I will add some nylon shipping tape so that the Foam stays put also.
You can see the difference in size with the 2 pictures.

IT'S NICE HAVING BEADLOCKS SO THAT I CAN MESS WITH THE FOAMS!
