Default Help me to chose the best motor

Hi every one,

Please excuse my little knowledge in Electric RC cars, i am totally new here. I was a big fan of Nitro, but not any more.

I received a CNC full metal Land Rover D90, which has a build in motor and SC. Check please the pictures.

After first run, i noticed that the car is not that much in speed and in torque, the car is so slow and it dose not have that much power.

The motor is 70T, what that mean?
And is this motor brand good for my car?
Is that Speed Controller good for my car?

I want the most strong motor for (Pulling, Crawling, Pushing...)? which can fit in my car.

Also,

I want the most faster motor for (RPM and Speed)? Which can fit in my car.

Please Note:

I am playing on dry surfaces only, no mud or water. And i am playing with it just for fun, no tournament or competitions.

Final thing, i already spend a lot for it, and i am welling to spend some more for the Motor, if will give my car the best speed and crawling power.

I am using FUTABA 2.4, 3 Chanel Remote.

Please give me your best advice for the best motor it can work well with my car.

And sorry for making it too long...

Best,

Very nice. 70t is a very slow motor but should have tons of torque. If it was me i would look at the axial 20t or 27t motors to get more speed. Since it will be trial and error to figure out what you want and they can be had on ebay for around 10 to 12 dollars I'd start there.

how heavy is it? just wondering.

could also look at some 35T depending on how fast your looking to go. you still want to crawl/trail, without racing it

Atomik. 35T would be a nice balance of speed and torque.

I don't want to race,, crawl/trail is my target, but i need to move a bit faster.
With the stock motor its moving like a turtle…

And its 3KG, without the motor and its case…

Don't you know any other high end balance motor, famous and can give me the speed and torque I want?

Even in great shape or new 70 turn is gonna be very slow. Lots of guys running trails run a 27 turn stock motor (race motor) another preferred choice is 35t and 3s. More wheel speed if needed and longer run times. Check out the axial 27t non timed motors. They are cheap and the bushing model motors will handle water better than bearings if they get wet.

you have the rc4wd gelande chassis with the land rover body. the esc you have is the axial ae-2 its water resistant and lipo compatible. you can fine tune the esc via the castle creations castle link. as far as motors go id look at holmes hobbies for brushed motors or look at team brood motors both companys are top of the line and have several models and turns. the lower the turn the faster it will be and less torque it will have ie a 27 turn motor will be faster than a 50 turn motor but the 50 turn motor will have more torque than the 27 turn. i run a 35 turn motor my 8 pound axial jeep wrangler and i have decent speed and torque and can norm run 3-4 hours on a 5000mah 2s lipo

Since you are using an AE-2 (not labeled for it but absolutely capable of running on 3s) I would recommend instead of swapping motors right away jump up to 3s and add an external BEC. The Glenade is pretty heavy in full dress and you'll want the torque of a high turn motor.
