Metal tierod and draglink for the steering, replace all the plastic links in the suspension with metal as well, MIP drive shafts, and replace the dog bones in the front axles.
Im sure there are tons of mods you can do for little to no money also.
There is a lot of info here too:

MattP, where are you located in VA?
I absolutely love my Ridgecrest. I go crawling every weekend with a local group and the stock Ridgecrest performs great. I'm in the process of totally transforming my Crest (mostly bling) but look forward to seeing how it handles.

First off Matt is a tech champion....with WAY more feedback than any of us combined. I bought my 1st 22b from him 2 years ago....I recently returned the favor and sold him a bunch of stuff. He is an awesome guy....I last fall came upon a techie who tried to smudge me and posted some crap. So please reserve your thoughts for the moderator and read the hundreds of others who say matt is a standup guy who is fair to deal with.
To his question, I have found that other site recommended a lil stuffy for me....On RCTECH most are ALWAYS friendly with advise and don't FLAME like the other site. Life is way to short to be mean or lie to make a buck. Matt I recently bought a deadbolt which is a similar platform. I upgraded to hardpan steering brace and moved servo off axle. No more bump steer. Level4rc has some nice link mounts. You can go to their website or Ebay....I also bought awesome alum platform system from spain of all places...$20 bucks and came in a week! allows you tons of mounting space for esc, batteries etc....I don't waterproof my rigs so my stuff open....Sorry for the defensive rant all but IT's JUST TOY CARS.....Be kind and help kids like HOTROD87 says....text me anytime matt for pics of my deadbolt upgrades I know you have my number....
