Default Axial SCX based 6x6

Figured I would post up some pics of my near finished project. Started with two SCX-10 frames and a whole bunch of spare parts and a little over a year later of working on it here and there it is finally somewhat complete.

It was pretty easy and cheap to do compared to a lot of the other really custom 6x6 trucks out there. Nothing really special, here is what powers it...

Traxxas EVX-2
Twin 45T RC4wd motors
32 pitch gears
Spektrum 2.4
HPI SF-50 servo
2s, 3s, or 4s Lipo capable (haven't tried 4s on these motors yet, but was a handful with the twin Titans in there!)

I wanted to keep it simple and cheap...gets the job done for me!

Love the look of the older truck with the tractor tires like a logging truck

Do you have any pictures of the diffs? I'd like to see how that's all handled.

Looks like that truck would use all the same parts as an SCX-10, how much can you buy that for? As you can tell from my build I wasn't really looking to bling it out...in fact the only aftermarket aluminum parts I added are a rear 4 link truss and twin motor plate. Also have a steel cvd/dogbone on the back, but thats it!

Sorry for no new pics of the 6x6, been messing with my other RC's a lot more than this one. I will though eventually!

I like the rig. To me, simple is always good.

Any updates/photos off-road?

The wheels are Tamiya Hummer 1.9, plastic. The tires are RC4WD mud bashers 1.9, I have some Proline Flat irons 1.9 to mount up to another set of these wheels, too.

I really need to get some better pics, I drove it a little a couple weeks ago at a construction site and took it to the creek but didn't take pics. Maybe this weekend I can get some shots of it out in the world.

It did pretty well in the creek, but needs softer tires for that type of driving. Also 3S on the 45T motors just really isn't enough wheels speed. I need to make a gear change, motor change, or try 4S but I dont think the motors will like that.
