Default Help me understand tire foams

I am just looking to learn about the foams people use on their rigs. I know that it all depends on what you want to do, but I just want the basic info?
Any help please. I tried a forum search but nothing came up for the specific question I have.

I use Crawler Innovations two stage, I love them! Look them up, if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask them.

I've read that crawler innovation is a good company and product.
What is the purpose of the 2 stage foams?
Why do you use is?

They give you the best of both worlds. You get a soft conforming tire and still have support for side wall for side hilling.

I just sent an email to ci. I'll post up some info. From what I have read and tried my self to understand. The softer the foam the more the tire will conform around an obstacle and the stiffer well the contrary. But as far as a 2 stage foam I am not too sure. Hopefully someone can shine some light on that.

2.2 will give you more ground clearance and some people like the big tire look
