1934 Ford Truggy trail rig "Otis"
I'm starting my "winter" build a little early.
I started out with a RC4WD Boyer truggy chassis and a Parma '34 Ford pick up body. http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/a...731_124511.jpg http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/a...731_124534.jpg I'm attempting to mount the 2 speed trans up front. http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/a...814_230429.jpg http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/a...822_224614.jpg http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/a...822_224604.jpg http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/a...814_231806.jpg |
Very nice!
That is going to be one sweet rig when you are done!
Thanks guys.
I really like where this one is going. Looking forward to seeing more.
Moved the rear shocks inboard.

Trimmed the servo mount to better fit under the body.
http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/a...824_160701.jpg Added a front body mount. http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/a...824_203958.jpg Rear body mount. http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/a...824_160646.jpg |
I am digging that. Can't wait to see where it goes.
That's going to look great
Thanks guys, just kinda roughing it in right now.:tire:
Nice! Always dug the flexibility of that chassis! Cms front with 4 link front and rear may be a headache to sort out down the line but that's part if the fun!
If I remember right that's what he runs on a few truck and it's a trail truck a little bump steer won't hurt anything
I have 2 or 3 other trucks set up the same way, no problems. I might go with a 3 link if I have clearance issues with the trans, but we will see.
very nice, please keep us posted on this beauty. i love the body. nice to see something different.
Not much to report but here it is.
Made a wood bed, seems a little thick though. http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/a...901_171203.jpg http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/a...901_171144.jpg I made it out of balsa wood but the real one will be out of bass wood. |
