Didn't realize there was a crawler section over here.

First and foremost I'd like to thank Andy(exesivefire) for letting me do a clone build of his "WTF" project. I originally saw his build online and was fortunate enough to see it run at the 09 Scale Nats when I attended as a high school graduation gift. Look, when a rig flat out works like his and is so different from the Hilux bodies Velcro'd on a SCX you just gotta love it.

So, my plans are to build a rig similar to exesivefires but also put my own fab/design into it. I typically build low, lots of droop, big tire rigs. I'm shooting for a Go Fast/KOH style rig

A big thanks to:

RCPcrawlers
The guys over at Socalrcrc.org

Equipment I plan to use:

Drive train:

Rc4wd R2 trans - Rc4wd Transfer case - Mip Drivelines

Axles:
Axial axles with the standard CVDS - Straight rears - RCP front clockable carriers - Axial highsteer.

Electronics:
Airtronics RDS8000(crawler) or the MT-4 - LRP 21.5 crawler motor - LRP crawler ESC - Reedy lipos (still debating mah)

Tires/Wheels:
Proline TSL swampers - Rims are undecided (will need help and ideas on those)

Suspension:
Proline power strokes front and rear - Rear will be setup with a cantilever style as well.

Hopefully this will hold you over for now.

Hard to see in the later pictures, but I built up the top/bottom lip so the lexan will sit flush over the lights (leaving no gap for dirt to enter)

Once the bar is painted up, I'll pull the 3m tape off the back and permanently mount the lights inside.

Earlier today I dropped off the chassis and a hand full of others at the sandblasters(no room here to buy my own blast cabinet).

Anyways, here's some more styrene work.
