I like the start. Im using a short bed, and scx frame with rcbros leaf spring in the front. 4 link in the rear in sprung, not droop. I also have a r2j truss. Now I see how those tr fender flares look on that body. Like bush wacker cut-outs!!
haha yea i like the bushwackers but there a bit too wide for my liking, they were pretty darn easy to put on tho i just heated them up and bent them a bit more to fit the fender and then redrilled the holes on the bottom that i needed and cut the piece up that goes behind the body to hold the screws so it fit, still need to trim a bit off the bottom but other than that they came out better than i thought they would. do you have any pics or build thread on your rig ? id like to see it

Well here is the start of my '84. I will post pics of my father 'n-laws truck. ITs going to be a cross between the truck and what I want. Anyways, going to run 2 diff beds. one a cage, the other stock. Making drop bed right now, so no pics of the bed...

Thanks guys! Yea I spent alot of time working on the interior and WOW is it ever loud and crisp sound! Soo nice and clear, for now since it's not done it doubles as a portable stereo lol. Norcallump yours is lookin real good and the plans for it sound awesome. I really regret sometimes not doing a drop bed and seperating the box and cab, looks so much better that way but this was the first time I ever touched styrene so I didn't want to push my luck haha
its my first time also, but im learning as I go. I hope to have it rolling under its own power soon, then I will tear it back down, weather and detail it...

small update guys, got the fender flares all mounted and trimmed up nice, took off about a quarter inch off the bottom of the front valance and fender corners to get the body lower and make the flares look right, also mounted up the rock sliders so i can make a deceant attempt to keep the paint nice, dont know if i like the look of the sliders yet tho. only thing left to do now is weight the new rims and glue em up and then off to the paintbooth, badly needing paint on the body and on the interior then its pretty much done for now and i can finally crawl it lol.
