Do you want to run brushed or brushless? What battery and voltage are you looking to run?

Alright, brushless first.
1. Xcelorin Crawler Combo. Losi part #LOSB9585
2. Novak Goat 3S with the 18.5 crawler motor. Novak part #3214
Brushed.
1. You can also run a MambaMax Pro or a SideWinder (Castle Creations) either brushed or brushless.
2. Tekin FXR or FXR Pro. The Pro can handle higher loads.
3. Holmes Hobbies Torque Master BR-XL. This little gem will handle 6S and has a great BEC.
Brushed motors.
1. Integy 45 or 35 turn motors. Not great, but cheap.
2. Hand wound mod crawler motors are awesome. Tekin, HolmesHobbies, and Fantom racing all offer some dead sexy mod motors.
3. My favorite brushed crawling motor, the Puller series by Holmes Hobbies. These motors are 7 pole beasts that LOVE breaking drive train parts. I run 2 in my Eritex Inc, Losi MOA. 14 turn would be pretty awesome in a Venom.
It really depends on what you want to spend and how much wheel speed and torque you want. If you have any more question, fire away

hey guys
if you want an exceptionally cheap option
rc4wd make a brushed only esc for $49USD called outcry
It is crawler orientated with a 5A BEC included and strong drag brake
Then just get a venom 35T - 55T motor.. i recommend the 35T (bit faster)
I dont recommend brushless, the extra money doesnt seem worth it.. my mate has one that was nearly $500 by the time he finished, and mine goes just as hard.
IMO of course.

I ran a 65T integy motor in my creeper and it was just to slow. Loads of torque but no wheel speed. The creeper has a very low geared trans. Hobbypartz has this brushless motor and esc that would be as cheap or cheaper than any brushed setup. It will have lots of power, esc has programmable drag brake (plus many other programmable adjustments) and brushless pretty much eliminates maintenance, which is nice. Plus you can run nimh, 2s lipos or 3s lipos on it. Here is a link to the motor and esc.

Pretty hard to beat that setup for $50! $55 shipped to your door!
