Talking Droop setup ?

Hi guys. Can any one enlighten me on droop shock set ups.
Do they have an internal spring and is that spring working to extend the shocks or retract them?

Thanks mate. I've got a set of 3racing shocks and they come with a set of external springs but have the option to put in internal springs. I was gona change them to the droop setup but the springs just seemed to pull the shocks closed too tight. How would this help in crawling? I mean it's pulling the wheel off the ground upsetting the chassis.

Default TOO STRONG

they don't need to be real stiff, your axles need to be able to stay stable but flex easily if your springs are holding the axle up there too stiff

I myself used small century springs from ace hardware. It was set up with an 80/20 doop. The idea is to have a low COG. Springs pull chasis down. Down fall is ground clearance.

i've run droop a few times on different rigs....some it worked better than others. the only shocks i got that i LIKED in droop...were traxxas big bores. i ran the TCS internal springs on them, and ran it on an edge chassis setup for sportsman. worked pretty good....but i still prefer the ground clearence of sprung

a true droop set up has no springs a semi droop does what you are runing on makes up the bigest part of what to run if you are runing on really big rocks then a droop is fine if your runing on small stuff like feild stone then a semi droop works better just cause you dont hang up on every rock you go over i run semi droop in the front and a standerd setup in the rear it keeps the front of the truck lower but is tall in the rear to keep from hanging up on rocks in the middle i wont say one is beter than another but what works for you is the best

Default semi

I found that I like the semi-droop. With full there is just not enough clearance.

Im an old droop faithful using traxxas big bores with tcs med springs, drilled pistons and 60wt oil. Running an old Tcs Gopher that has tons of belly clearance, so its good for me. running venom axles and tcs r2 with dig. will be runnng a holmes puller and a sidewinder.

Default droop

I put ink pen springs on the shafts outside the body works really good surprisingly.
