Only added Injora stainless high clearance links, and tightened the servo savers down. Try it before replacing the servos. It really helps.

At the moment I plan on keeping this rig as light as possible. Will get better shocks and a motor (Mofo or Holmes) with better slow speed crawling ability. Not planning on replacing wheels and tires unless I add some weight. The stockers work really well as long as the rig is kept light. Of course it wouldn’t surprise me if I ended up going brushless, just because

Well my plan was to keep it light. Upon searching for little beadlocks the one set that I REALLY liked happened to be brass, so guess it’s gonna be a bit heavy.

Mofo RC TorqueBeast 50 3.0 motor ordered to deal with the extra weight. With the servo savers tightened down the stock servos throw the wheels around without any problem, so not replacing them until they decide to quit on me.

Already swapped out the stainless high clearance links for another set that also stretches the wheelbase 15mm.

Unfortunately the stock center driveshafts are too short now. New ones ordered.

The lil stock motor already struggled climbing with the extra weight of the brass wheels, so luckily new motor showed up.

New motor JUST fits without any grinding. Upper link is really close, but there’s a smidge of daylight between it and the motor. Haven’t tried the new motor yet since the center driveshafts aren’t here yet.

New center drive shafts installed. Zero torque twist as it sits and climbs incredibly well.

Need to upgrade the front and rear dogbones in the axles with universal joint shafts. At full steering throw the dogbones barely stay in and can bind. Will also upgrade the front and rear steering links and shocks. Other than that it’s a totally different animal. The Mofo motor has much better low speed control than the stock motor did, both with the stock esc, so it can stay.

Yeah it’s unbelievable what just a few mods does for this rig. I noticed at full flex the rear dogbones are barely in and bind so I have front and rear universals on the way. Other than that I’m upgrading the shocks and the front and rear steering linkages. The green blob in the pics is Chet from the movie Weird Science, but judging on looks, he could be a relative of Jabba, lol.
