8x8 or 6x6
Has anyone here driven an 8x8? Can you relate your experiences? Do you think it was worth the extra cost and complexity? Is it way more capable than a 6x6?
Reason I ask is I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on an 8x8 in the not too distant future, either the HG models P80x series or the Loops Model Tatra 8x8 or 6x6.
I haven't heard good things about Cross RC, but feel free to correct me or intro me into something I don't know.....
Bonus points for 10x10.

Are you going for look or handling. LIke a military style or like a crawler type?

^Hmmmm, good question. I never thought about it that way. I don't need a huge amount of handling, as long as it can keep up with the usual 4x4 scalers/crawlers in traversing rough terrain and steep hills. It doesn't have to be hyper-scale....

A trx6 will crawl almost every where. I think anything with a plastic or metal body will just get wrecked with normal trail crawling. And parts support with the traxxas is good to.

^Traxxas parts is a bit of a PITA where I live.... but I hear you. I've heard similar from another TRX6 owner, just powers over or through *everything* lol.
I might go for a slightly smaller scale than the TRX 6 though, like a RC4WD Beast or something from Cross RC or even WPL.
My dream would be a Loops Model Tatra, but those are mega $$$.

Has anyone here driven a Cross RC 6x6 or 8x8? How do they perform? I was looking at these and they look pretty good.... Although the price is steep compared to a RC4WD Beast or the HG Models P802.
