Default Not your everyday Redcat Gen7 - Rear Steering finally

It took me 6 months of procrastinating, but I finally did it. Last night I spent about 2hrs figuring out how to get all the pieces that I've been buying for a while to take a sport version rear end, and upgrade it to rear steering. Its not a pain per say, but... it was far more complex than my Everest-10 and I wasn't too pleased that I had to disassemble the rear axle housing to build it.

Tonight I'm going to work on the electronics, and figure out how much I spent on this silly project.

Wouldnt it have been easier getting a 2nd complete front axle?

Yes of course. I couldn't find any, when I started the project, and it was too late when I finally did see a few for sale, I was committed. Plus now I know how to build it the hard way.

Oh yeah... I'll get some pics, I'm still sorting out the servo horn problem. Basically if you upgrade to the high steer kit, you don't have room for the longer aluminum servo horns. I guess I don't have a problem with the stock short black horns, but I wanted more steering throw (which I probably don't need)

Hi sazzlefrats, let us know how you do on the servo horn. I would like to know where to purchase one for my Gen7.
thanks.
