Default Losi Rock Rey vs. Axial Yeti

Hello everyone, I am new to R/C crawlers and I have been recently on the search for a one to add to my R/C collection. Right now I am stuck between the Rock Rey and the Yeti. What are the pros and cons of each, which is better at racing either a rock track or a short course track. Or is there a better option??
Thanks!!

Neither of those vehicles are rock crawlers really. They're rock racers, designed to go faster over rough terrain. The Yeti will have the most available upgrade options and the Losi probably is better out of the box.

Thanks for the input! Yeah sorry, I meant to say rock racer instead of a rock crawler. Really just trying to figure out which is best at both rock racing and short course racing, sorta like Ultra 4 racing. Also, is it true that the Rock Rey's stock servo is garbage?

Most stock servos are garbage.

If you do plan to do a lot of upgrades, go with the Yeti. On the plus side, if you ever pick up the Bomber, SMT10, etc... some of the parts are interchangeable.

Good to know! What is a good LiPo Battery for both? I've been looking but I have heard that some batteries don't fit inside.
