I haven't ran it both ways. Once truck is running again I'll try both battery trays and report back

Has anyone found any 10mm-12mm hex's that will fit on this truck I've got 2 different sets and neither will slide over the axle to the pin.

The difference seems negligible. I installed both, and measured at one point truck would pass center of gravity and tip over, measurement was nearly identical.

That was with stock battery, lift kit, brass front end.

on my truck i currently have yeah racing brass hexes. I'm probably going back to stock, because with the brass ones my sweet stock center caps won't screw on. (The ones that came in kit I bought are wider than stock)

you may have to carefully drill out the center to get them to fit. Or see if you can find the hex's from a old school axial ax10 i know the axles on the ax10 had a slight "step up " at the knuckle end
