Default axial Bomber motor ??

Hi , need some help with deciding which motor to put in a bomber kit that I have purchased Iím wanting to set it up for Ultra 4 .i also purchased the 2 speed transmission for it . I am new to all this so would appreciate some ideas, was looking at the castle creations 14 series motor but not sure what size would be best suited. Thanks

I'm not sure why nobody wants to touch this one.
The Castle Creations sensored set up would work really well. The KV choice would depend on what cell batteries you want to use. 2s will be better in the higher KV motors. If you want to run in the water and mud then maybe a brushed motor set up is better due to the lower costs if you burn it out.
Holmes Hobbies has some really good stuff and worth a look.

I got the RR10 kit with two speed. I set the two speed up at the far ends (max lo and max hi). Castle Mamba X and 1409-1900kV, on 3S. I could not be happier with it. I usually run in Hi, and if something really needs some grunt, downshift.

Castle product: MAMBA X, SENSORED, 25.2V WP ESC AND 1406-1900KV SENSORED COMBO

Ok , so what is the difference going to be between the 1900kv motor and the 2200kv motor of castle creations?

And let me confuse it some more. I misremembered, I got the 2850kV combo. But I correctly remember it's been great fun. My friend on youtube, JoeOvercoat, has some videos.

Only issue I had was breaking ujoints. So I repleced the drive line with supershafty's kit (they kit up MIP components). I haven't broken one since.

For a given battery, higher kV makes higher rpms.

I chose a middle/high kV because sometimes you need wheel spin and low rpms just won't deliver. Then the lo gear is at the bottom limit, so it gets max torque despite the higher rpm. Also, since it's sensorsed, it's really good about slow speed control.
