Default What SCX10 to get.

I am new to crawlers, as I am just looking into them. Short of a different body, what is the difference between the AX90047 and the AX90060? Is one better than the other or is it literally just a different body and lights for the extra money? Also I use Gens ACG, 5000 mAh, 2s, 50c batteries in my carpet oval cars. Would that be a good battery for a crawler or should I be looking at something different?
Thanks.

You are correct. With the Wrangler you get a nicer body with lighting and you get some licensed bumpers and sliders. Mechanically they are the same. Your 5000 Mah battery should work fine but most people run a smaller battery to save weight up high where the battery tray is in SCX10.2. I use a 3300 3s Venom battery most of the time.

Try looking at the Vaterra Ascender too. I just picked up the blazer kit for $250. I think they may be discontinuing that Blazer body. Maybe their licensing agreement is going to expire.
I've got the AX10 Ridgecrest and the Ascender Bronco and I like the Ascender a lot better.

Traxxas has a few you could look into, don't know your price point but on the lower end of price they just introduced the TRX4 Sport for around $339 I think, the TRX4 Bronco and TRX4 D110 in the mid $400s. I have the TRX4 D110, Brought it Jun 2017 and love it no problems and solid truck, Great reviews all over the net as well.

Right now, meaning this week, I'd recommend the kit. It's got all the best stuff that Axial offers and it's on sale for $309.99 shipped.

If you're not set on Axial checkout the Ascender or TRX-4.
