Default new to rdx

Just bought me a rdx today need info setup ex... Im runing oval touring need to know what weight oils for shocks wich piston and so on. Right now on my tc3 im runing #2 piston on my hpi shocks with 40 wt oil and fast. So what would be good for the rdx? als i need to know what amd i changing when i go from a #2 to a #3 piston on a shock besides whole size and all what does it actually do to the car? Foam tires also bsr and sometimes jacos.

Hi.

Well, a #2 piston would be our 0.9mm pistons(#3 AE) drilled to a #56 hole size. You could use the 0.9mm pistons but I would recommend 10wt lighter on the oil.

The kit pistons now are 1.3mm pistons, similar to the #1 AE, so you would need at least 50wt to get the same effect. Bigger holes and heavier dampening will give more roll and feel a bit lazy on recovery. The lighter dampening will transition quicker and recover from roll better as well.

Smaller hole pistons have more "pack" which is the reaction on weight transfer. The small holes will prevent the car from rolling through the corner as much, it will also make initial sensitivy better.
