Since Mario is going out of town this would seem like the perfect time to stir the pot.

1) I think it is a good idea to keep a similar track layout. It makes car setup a little easier each time we race. Also good to see if people are getting any faster then the week before.

2) Should we consider having a cut out to shorten the track for the electric racers?
we did this the first week, but since then we have been running on the very large electric track.

3) Anyone up for Mod touring this weekend?

4) Are we planning any big summer/fall race as the club this year?

Stirring complete!

This is good for now...when it dies down again I will come up with something better.

It seems that as a club we do not communicate enough...I am trying to fix that in my own way. I think this is a good place to discuss how to improve the over racing experience with the club. Having a 216 foot straight away for an electric car seems rather big to me and I run both Mod and 10.5. Think about the novice class/Trans Am with their 17.5's.

I'd like to see actual club meeting not at events so we can talk about what we want to do, set schedules, talk about trips to major races and swap stories.

I know there are a few of you going to IIC, it would be cool to get some reports back. My next travel outing would be for Omaha for thier fall race, and maybe an oval race or two.

Have a great weekend at Invesco and I'll be at the next event with a car to play with the 1/8 scale gas cars!!

FYI - Keith brought up the lap top Wednesday night and I have the points updated, and it is ready to enter names and start racing.

Art, you want the pot stirred a little.....

Keeping the track the same, good idea (but gets boring on anything but a permanent track).

Maybe try a track design that doesn't have 100,000 180 degree turns (ie balance out the types of curves on a track, like real tracks do). No excuss for having 22+ sec laps (by 1/8 scales) on a track of the size of Invesco. A flowing track makes for close racing and gives everyone a chance to win (at least once in awhile). Stirred enough, probably not.

Grenade - you're going to scare me. 1/8 scalers wont be at the track on Aug 3 (GLC race is that weekend; and we'll all be there)

You guys have a great time and do well. Charlie has been trying to get me there for the past few years, so we'll see. He will not be there this year as he has an up coming wedding and way too much to do around the house.

Any chance we'll get you on some rubber tires this winter? One set of tires for the entire season!
