Default Best looking chassis for display purposes?

Hi, I'd like to get a great looking chassis as a show and conversation piece for my office.

Any suggestions for a great looking engineering marvel?

If you want engineering marvel the first thing to come to mind is awesomatix. The chassis of the a700 is just beautiful to look at.

2nd that. Awesomatix A700 Evo 2.
A lot of money though for just a display chassis - RC-KleinKram Stefan Klein

Wow, that is beautiful, but like you said pretty expensive, especially for a show piece and not a racer.

Anything else, maybe a bit less expensive?

Lol my 2nd recommend is still expensive. So on to my 4th recommend how about going for simple beauty like a losi jrx-s or xxxs. Anther one would be yokomo bd7. I personally think the ta06 is also a very good looking chassis with its ifs

What's your budget? Could always look at 2nd hand. There is a person selling a 2nd hand A700 (not e2 but has the aluminum chassis) for $300 shipped. Could look at that option and then clean down (simple green, wd40) to bring it all nice and clean/black. If bottom of chassis scratched from racing, by a $5 sticker bomb sheet off ebay and use.

Even the Awesomatix A800 (belt drive, not shaft like the A700) is a sexy machine. Also come with the aluminum chassis option (gold color) and can pick them up 2nd hand for cheap. Awesomatix A800 A plus carbon chassis - $275 posted.

I do like the BD7, and the BD8, I feel the Losi's don't show as well.
In the same line as the BD7, I like the XRay T4, and the Kyosho TF7.

Looked at a Serpent today - it would be a good display. Not sure I would race one but ....

If its just a showpiece you can get off brand touring/drift cars on site like amazon cheap. Lots of carbon fiber, anodizing etc for very cheap. 100 to 150$. All of these are under 150$ on amazon.

My recommendation for display is a 2WD off-road electric buggy. They are deceptively simple in appearance, yet quite an engineering marvel.

Spend a little more and get a competition level buggy with a clear body. Display the chassis with a clear body and wing. Saw that done with a Tamiya buggy at the distributor when I was in Korea. Left a favorable impression on me and gave a completeness to the display.

Mount it on an attractive wood base. Good luck. Like to see what you eventually end up doing.
