Wink UJs

wyd & Dragonxmx:

Thank you to both of you for your kind assistance.

Dragonxmx:

How about the wheel lock nut? Will it fit the TC3 UJ's thread? And do you use back the FSR or TC3 wheel adapter?

You will need to use the TC3 hex and nut as they are not interchangable with the FSR UJ.

an ebay auction with a bullet pro and tons of extra stuff. you'll pay more than you want, but if you have the cash, you could probably sell what you don't want and keep the bullet for free if you are a businessman.

just looking out for ya.

by the way...what's up dragon? how's that mission project going? i've been running my sst 99 quite well lately. waiting for a corally in the mail. email me.

Hey Seaball.

The Mission project will go ahead shortly. We are doing extremely well with the car as it is. We have had some great results with the Bullet this year as well. We're running on foams this fall so it will be good practice for Cleveland.

eh dragon,
i'll be at cleveland since i live 30 min away. i'll have to find ya. that's great that the bullet is still making an impact. i had to abandon my project bullet in a effort to clean out my space. how's the tweak with the bullet. that was always a concern i had when i was redesigning the chassis. i was gonna go with a kawada style top with continuous ladder style top. anyway, good to hear from ya.

Default Tweak

Since I am using my own chassis there is not much of a tweak problem. Remember my chassis has no battery slots so it is very stiff. Tweak is a problem when your using the top deck to stiffen your frame.

Thank again for looking out for me. Unfortunately, my budget doesn't permit me to invest in what you proposed. Anyway, I'm more interested in the UJs. Furthermore, I've tonnes of other FSR parts and I'm planning to dispose some of the gas version ones.

It was a 3 belt touring car that CRC use to sell. I think it came from Canada. It was a very well balanced car. If someone would make these again with a few little changes it could be a competitive car very easily. Everything is centered. Very easy to balance the car.

Thanks. This was before my time. I was only 7 years old in 2001.

Yes, It's designed in Toronto, Canada. I believe the designer is doing something else in China at the moment, something unrelated to R/C car.

yes indeed, the owner of FSR is from Toronto, i used to race with him at my local track back in the days. a lot of my fellow racer back then switch to FSR since there is tech support and parts support. i on the other hand was driving a Yokomo YR4-M2 then switched to the YR4-M2J since i was always a Yokomo fan. and although i wasnt driving a FSR, James (FSR owner) helped me on a couple of occasions to setup my car. he is a great guy.

after that, i kinda left the scene for a good while and i have no idea what happened to FSR. i recently talked to someone that used to race with him in Hong Kong, he told me he is no longer in the RC biz but still doing what e does best, engineering.

i miss the good old days when he would invite us to his house to BBQ.
