Default Moto-Enthusiasts... let's talk.

Might get a few hits, who knows.... anyways if you love 2-wheels and getting out on a good back-road, post up. I'm not into the stunt / bling / bike night scene at all. If I ride it's in pursuit of the corners and I like to get 4-5 hours in at the minimum. Done a bit of track riding and trips to Deals Gap, ect. Anyone that is into that sort of thing feel free to post up and tell your story. Right now I'm on a Yamaha FZ1.

There is a bike thread in here somewhere.
I used to do more miles when I was younger, the odd track day etc. Now im a weekend/ local warrior. I do the odd few hundred every few months or so to blow the cobwebs out.
The scooters I use to get around to mates places, up the shop for milk n stuff.

Currently I have an FZ1N. Power commander, dyno tuned. 151hp atrw

I want to do the naked conversion on mine. Not sure what it's putting to the wheel but it's pretty healthy. Mods include AB mod, intake plate mod, Ivans FCE, Graves Full SS / Ti exhaust, and Dobeck TFI. I want to swap the last part out for a true power commander as the TFI has limited tuning capabilities. The Graves FS made a huge difference, it pulls like crazy.

Naked and Street fighter bikes are my favorite. The upright position works well on the tighter roads. This is one of my older bikes... Kawasaki Z1000. It's fun hustling those SS guys through the dragon

Its my first naked, I got over the bent over position & went for comfort. Best thing I ever did.
If you ever go down the PC route (mines a PC3), get it dyno'd. Downloaded maps are ok, however they can be close but no cigar/ too hit & miss if you know what I mean. Never spot on.
The other little odd bit that made a diff was removing the exup unit. In the FZ10A forum, a guy called Wolfram made an eliminator which about 50 of us were lucky to get. I think now a couple of other companies make them, its one of those 'dont hesitate' mods that needs to be done imo.

I have something like that I got from FZ1OA, that I have yet to install. The servo is still in place but obviously with the full system exhaust does nothing. I need to get motivated and throw it in.... should be good for another 5 lbs removed I think.

I have a re-valved rear shock... a specialist cut it open, set it up to be close to ohlins, and sealed it back together, also installed a valve to recharge the nitrogen. It is a great improvement, the bike corners like a beast. Hyper pro steering damper helps too. Agreed on the PC3 with proper map, that is where I'm lacking. The guy that tunes bikes for Daytona is right down the street, I need him to work me some magic.

I have a Hyper Pro damper as well. I found due to spending my life on bikes with full fairings with dampers that lacking one was like riding a dirty. Kinda outa control & uncomfortable for my liking.
When you remove the exup unit youll find a nice space to utilise for something else, you will also notice how dam heavy it is too.
I stuck my pc3 under the rear seat, however Ive seen guys make little allu shelves to put into the exup space & then watersealed their pc3's into that location.

Hyper- Pro is the shizz I love the ease with which you can go from light damping to full-race mode in a few seconds. Some guys say "it's just pricey bling" but until you ride with one, you have no idea. It locks the front into a fast corner for sure.

It will probably be a few years as my Fz1 is plenty of bike for me, and still reasonably low-mileage , but I am aiming for either a Tuono or RSV4 at some part... more emphasis on the former. That V4 configuration is the best sound ever.
