Default Best money spent on rc...

I was reading the waste of rc money thread and I thought it might be nice to have this thread. Again in no particular order:

Futaba 4pl - great response and affordable receivers vs airtronics
Scte 2.0 -sweet ride & unbreakable, I've had it since the release
Sc10 ft- the best 2wd sc I've driven besides a sc10.2
Thunder x4 charger - excellent at charging lipos to rx packs to glow ignitors
Avid bearings - 1 dollar bearings !
Tires that work at your track - buying them on sale
Practice - making changes one at a time
Tools -love mip drivers
Power tools - makita works good for the house and rc
Used rides - that come with hot ups and tons of tires for 1/2 the price of new
Tekin esc - bc they have current limiter and make my lipos/motors run cooler
Smc lipo packs - race packs at 1/2 price
Werks & novarossi engines
Brushless motors - I remember brushed motor days lol
Multiple vehicles - allowing everything to cool, driving diversity, and not having to stock up on a lot of parts.

Last but not least, the tracks, sponsors, family, and friends at the track that keep you smiling and having fun day to day or week to week etc etc...

Plano 737 tacklebox, hands down. I've been using the same box to haul my tools around for a decade, definitely outlasting anything else I've spent money on for RC.

Thorp hex drivers 25 years ago still like new. And a Kyosho bag from the same age that is just now getting beyond duct tape repair.

Meh, I went from a 4pl to a 4pk then to an airtronics mt4. mt4 felt the most responsive.

SMC batteries, why pay more.
PowerLab 6 charger - couldn't believe how much difference a good charger makes.

Novak 8.5 XBR Sport combo.

This is about 5 years old now, And I've run it in about 13 different RC's including buggies, F1 cars and tourers.

Still going strong, almost, I retired her out of my TRF 201 a week or so ago, Deserves to be mounted on the shelf for going well above and beyond the call of duty.

Stampede 4x4, Bought her the day they first became available, Shes worn, torn, bashed and abused, and still going strong. Only done the shock caps, the steering servo and a set of drive shafts, But I only tore out the drive shafts when I recently fitted a set of 1/8th scale badlanders to her.

My Unger UTC300 soldering station.

My Dad bought it for me 23 years ago when it was almost the price of a Grasshopper kit! Still have it and it is still a pleasure to use each time. With the introduction of lipo I don't solder batteries together anymore, but it's still a great tool that I've only changed the tip on once.

I know people will probably give me grief, but my Slash 4x4 Platinum LCG. I bought it on a whim to try 4x4 SC, ended up running an entire outdoor summer series with it still completely stock. It's durable (never had a DNF), handles well, and the new shocks are great. $379 shipped to my door from Tower. I couldn't imagine selling it now.
