Default Myth Busters R/C episode

Myth busters is doing an episode tomorrow night with an R/C car racing a Dodge Viper.. Check it out!!

Episode 28: Is Yawning Contagious?
Using a specially fabricated chamber complete with two-way mirror and a hidden camera, Kari, Scottie and Tory set out to see whether a yawn, like a cold, truly can be caught. Next on the docket: Does toast really fall buttered-side down? Jamie and Adam are on the case, each building a rig to simulate toast being dropped from the dining room table. Finally, the whole team tests the myth that a toy car can beat a real car (in this case, a Dodge Viper) in a gravity slope race.
premiere: March 9, 2005

I may be mistaken but I think its actually a matchbox car and not an RC car. Thats why its a gravity race on a slope. I saw the previews yesterday while watching a rerun episode where Jamie used radio control to drive a real car (Myth of the Pole Vaulting car).

Anyway... the preview showed a matchbox-like car in those little plastic tracks going down a hill.

Regardless it'll be interesting.

I was just about to post the same thing. It's not an R/C.

Jamie knows quite a bit about RC. If they do it right, they'll have a good, hobby grade car.

Those guys have done some interesting RC in the past like the full size 1:1 scale RC car and the RC "shoe" for the Nike commercial. On the other hand, they once tried to get an RC car to register on a radar gun and they were using some crappy Radio Shack car that was super slow and the radar gun couldn't read it. If I remember correctly they made some stupid conclusion about RC cars being too small for radar guns which we all know is false.

I need the compressed air gun they shot the chickens out of towards the cessna windscreens. Maybe the turn marshalls would pay closer attention to their area when they get splattered with thawed chicken. Don't worry, PETA will clean it up.

Yeah, if you watch the TV promo's for this episode, it's a matchbox car. That's probably why they said toy car instead of RC car.

I picked up an edition of rc driver and they had an interview with jamie hyneman(something like that) and it really showed how smart/into r/c he was. He didnt have any cars(atleast I think), but he uses numerous different r/c related things.

Saw that episode... it was a matchbox car! LOL. Oh well. Nascar Nation had r/c cars on the other day from Mexico.

They showed Newman and Krista Voda doing slot cars yesterday. It was pretty slick.
