I wish recievers would be programed to tell the esc FULL brake when the RX loses signal.

Long wear-high grip rubber tires.

More durable lexan bodies.

Longer wear-high power brushed motors.

Diff/spool/one-way all in one transmissions.

Brushless technology is now here = no more motor maintenance
Battery (lithium polymer) = 30 minute races
No Frequency clashes = Spektrum technology

Only thing I can suggest is long wearing tires, indestructable rims with a locking system to hold the rubbers (no more adhesives) that can last 10 times or more (imagine buying rubbers once a year) lol

and also stronger RC Bodies and can last 10 time more.

An even better partnership for brushless motors would be fuel cells.

The technology isn't quite there yet for comsumer electronics but is right on the horizon.
No more fading at the end of a race as the hotter the fuelcell gets the better it works then just top it up with methanol(for a methanol fuelcell) and you are ready again

That would be great!
It wouldn't be that hard to do. Just use the third channel with some type of voltage reader.

The problem is that the manufacturers DO HAVE the technology to provide this...however how good would it be for them if they sold 2/3rd less product each year?? Answer is that it wouldn't be good for them.

Companies HAVE to make their products wear out after a while otherwise they'd go out of business OR it would cut into their profits.

Remember...products that last a good long time either have to cost alot of money these days...or they don't get made.

A sad truth is that in the 21st Century, there is no such thing as a good / high-quality inexpensive product like in the 1930s / 1940s.

Scoring system based on $.50 RFID chips instead of these $100 transponders.

the lockable rims were inveted years ago. you can find them on the original rc10s and rc10ts. its a 3 piece rim and uses 3 screws to hold the tires in place. consindering how much tires and rims cost nowadays i wouldn't mind seeing manufacturers make those again of course along with longer wear tires with good grips.

what i really would like to see is a way for anyone to be able to make their own rc or rc parts. you would design the parts on autocad or something. then feed that to a machine and out comes the new part. this way everyone can be the manufacturer of their own rc.

True, but look at whats happening now. Crystal manufacturers are shitting themselves once Spektrum technology takes off, that goes with brushless as well now that lrp is on board and novak to release a quicker motor. I think batterys are next on the list , one pack that can run 30 mins and can be repeak without damage as many times as you like. I bet all the top matchers will be dreading this

Nimble Motorsports has such a system.
Can we make a business selling $1 transponders? I don't think so.
