However, failure to update your records will result in account suspension.

Please update your records. Once you have updated your acc! ount records, your PayPal session will not be interrupted and will continue as normal.

I'm not too sure about it. I went through the top link to find something asking for all my info along WITH my 4 digit pin number to my bank account. Thats when I got suspicious. I don't recall paypal asking for that before.

Also, when I went and logged in without following the link, Paypal's site didn't say anything about updating anything.

So if you guys know whether this email is legit or not, let me know, cause I'm not doing anything with it till I know for sure.

I also forwarded it to PayPal's [email protected]

I get these almost every day. It didn't show up when you copied and pasted the text, but ALWAYS mouseover the link and check the status bar to see where you are *really* being sent. Chances are it's not Paypal. In fact, no company will ever send you an email that directs you to enter sensitive information. It's a scam called phishing.

Unfortunately my email accounts are spam-a-riffic, and these kind of scams (along with virus emails) are at the top of the list!

Happens to us all, I can't count how many of those things I've gotten over the last couple of years, & eBay has also noticed phishing scams trying to get people to give their membership info. As far as I know, about all we can do is keep reporting it, & hopefully the phishers will eventually be stopped & nailed...

I get them all the time too. These guys mainly target people who work with the internet and use paypal as a payment option etc.

They always come to my business account email but I havent had one to my personal account yet.
