Default Mitsu. Lancer Evo MR VS. WRX Sti

I need people who actually owns either one car to comment on their experience with either the Lancer or the STI.

I am thinking of getting one or another. I have gone to Auto show and sit in both of them, they feel about the same, even though Mitsu MR does feel a little bit more spacious in the back seat. And suby's interior is really nice for the 2005 models...

I love the style of both cars.... now to help me to make the decision, I sorta wanna know the answers to the following questions:

which car is more reliable?

which car is cheaper to do the routine maintence? (10,000 mile, 30,000mile.... regular oil change/tune up...etc..)

also... how much should I be expecting to pay OTD???

I visited few STI sites and Evo sites.... there are few people paying only around 29000 for their STI... which is damn good price.... how much did you all pay for yours?

Thanks

I watched a test on both of them and I can't remember which they complained about the turbo lag and horrible gas mileage....

STI's gas millage is kinda bad... something around 18/20 city/highway... Lancer does have better gas mileage.. around 19/26 something like that...

There gotta be someone on this board drive either one of this car...

The Subaru has the turbo lag.........but Silver Cup is right, it is a freaking sports car! With that said, I'll put money to the Mitsu Lancer Evolution VII, it is suppose to crush the Subaru in horsepower......

Yeah, gas isn't that bad. It is making what....270-300 horses? Plus its AWD. Pretty respectable since not many AWD cars get "good" gas mileage.

miliage is not a big issue, but I would still take it into consideration......

So far no one here owns one I think... I just need some ppl who owns the car give some opinion about the cars...

Thanks

Plus it was boosted. If that Evo was twin turboed and/or boosted, then he sure wouldn't have smoked him, it would be the other way around.

Why did the Evo have an aftermarket twin turbo?

I always thought all Evo gens were single turbo?

So I'm assuming the turbos are in a non-sequential setup?

Dont get the OIL Leaker......Have you heard the way a STI/WRX sounds when you put that expensive exhaust on it?.......It sounds like its going to stall out....sounds like it has a pile of cow dung stuck in the injectors. Those Subs have always been known to leak after some many miles. Where the Mitsubishi holds a good name. Also comes with that performance exhaust everyone seems to want(that not all it comes with). For the money and readily parts....Mitsu's all the way. Once you drive it...you'll fall into love. Heck if you stump the gas you might even wet youself. Don't take it from me...take it from yorkmitsubishi.com
Mitsubishi Evo MR! Light weight, fast.....and heck its even cool looking. I believe if I remember correctly thats the model that comes with the Rally Art Stereo system. BOOM BOOM!!! That way you cant hear you compitetors cry HAHA when you blow them away!!
