...what in some places was the worst tornado rash in 20 or so years.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110417/...ere_weather_63

This was an enormous storm system, we got some of it here in Topeka, severe wind damage, and torrential rain. But, since the system stretched from east central Nebraska to Arkansas(in its beginning), a lot of people got much more than we did.

Dozens dead, thousands homeless, due to a ridiculous amount of tornadoes and severe wind. Check the link for details.

My condolences to anyone who was lost or whose family or friends were lost.

Excuse me for sounding.... um... stupid... either my brain is either slowing down from the sleep its gotten or its spooling up....

....but are we comparing a earthquake/tsunami combo to a storm front that happens like every 2 to three years?

I am in a weird state of mind... it feels like I am in the villains lair in one of the Batman shows.... all sideways like.

I didn't intend to compare anything, maybe the article did, but I didn't read it. I watched the radar on the computer all day, it went into the next day. I really like to watch the storms, radar and such, I have gotten quite good at foretelling the storms' path and actions, but, I also have lived in Kansas all my life, so it's really just second nature.

I'd chase if I could.

Hell no! The sirens are my signal to go outside and look around. I've only been within a mile of an F2, but still scared the bejesus out of me; I was driving home on a long country road, had about a mile and a half to go, when the radio buzzed the buzz death; my county went tornado warning, they told the approximate location, about a mile from me. I looked in the direction they said, and there the funker was, all scary and crap. It was a small F2, and wasn't down long, but still made me pucker my brown eye a little.

At least with earthquakes you're safe as long as you stay AWAY from buildings! Tornados get you weather you're in or out of buildings!

True, not necessarily safe in a basement, either.
