I have a digital video camera and I've been meaning to transfer video's to my computer. I'm also going to be taking plenty of footage of my Rc8.... so a monster? Nah...

I'm BATMAN!

Yeh, show us some RC footage.
One guy at my track mounted a camera on his hat. That way he can see what he did wrong in the race. It really comes out good. He put a wide angle lense on it which gets at least half the track.

Hey, if you guys ever wondered what I was talking about when I mention my race car, here are a few pictures.

From my first race many years ago:

More recent pictures as it sits (still needing a lot of rewiring work):

My new switch panel:

I too have the i7 950 processor and the X58 moboard...

But after that.... things changes drastically.

3x 465 GTX SLi cards
24gb of RAM
1 80gb SSD (will upgrade soon)
1 128gb SSD
3x 500gb HDDs
1 1TB HDD (I think its failing, will replace with a 2GB version)
and 2 external storage drives with 1TB of storage each....

Unfortunately, she gets anal when I either run a video or play FSX.... she'll outright freeze up.

I noticed the front end turned black. Did a tree jump out in front of u? Maybe use lexan next time.
Is that a bottle of nitro under the back tire holding the car up?

Use lexan for what?

I made a couple of rookie mistakes. I was following a guy very closely into a heavy braking right hander. He checked up a LOT sooner than I was expecting (my braking point was a good 50 yards further down the track). I hit him pretty good, but fortunately it only broke the tabs on the headlights and scraped up the bumper pretty good. The other mistake was that I was on the inside of another car on a medium speed left hander, but I didn't own the corner. I checked up too late and the other car turned down onto me. His rear left tire got cut down, and it took out my passenger fender and head light. Tweaked the bumper support and right bulkhead. Ripped the bumper cover off the front end. I actually went a couple more laps with it dragging until it finally fell off and I ran over it. Anyway, both mistakes were stupid and totally preventable. Already spent a couple of grand for parts and labor replacing the front bulkheads and core supports. I'll get it painted eventually, but not sure if I'll stick with white or try to paint the entire car.

That's windshield washer fluid for my daily driver. Nitrous is illegal in all race classes that I run in.

Nice vids. This one is especially good.

I wonder if they'll ever do an SC8e Factory Team model...

Billy, I meant lexan fenders, like our RC cars, to take a beating. Too bad there's no such thing for real cars huh.

Well that doesn't help when you bend the sheet metal underneath.

BTW, you can get composite fenders, but anything other than custom made fits like crap. Custom CF fenders are serious $$, and they're illegal in some race classes. The stock fenders are fairly light and inexpensive (IIRC, about $140 each new) so it's not that big of a deal.

I thought about repainting the entire car flat black so it would match the primer used on new body panels. The stock paint is a 3 stage so it's expensive to repaint. Plus I need to repaint the interior....

BTW, Tower has the TC6 back in stock. I was hoping to wait until mid-March, but I may not be able to!

I also mounted up (but have not glued) some soft compound AKA tires with the red (soft) inserts. You can definitely feel a difference in the tire "give" compared to the AKA black inserts.

What other hobbies do you guys have?
