I Know I will get slammed for this, but I would shoot a person before I shot a poor animal that couldnt defend itself. Hunt bears with a slingshot so its a good battle

Yeah I understand that some people don't like the idea of people killing animals. But its a sport and I will continue having fun.

No offence taken James.

I'm glad you were not offended cause that was not my intent, nor any other of you hunters. I have family that hunt and love em just the same. Maybe I can get you all to hunt pigs. I HATE PIGS!!

Default Dad and Buddy get lucky again

Well Dad phoned today and they got another one in northern Alberta. This is his buddy Waynes White Tail. Nice 5x5.

Dad has his Elk and Moose tag to fill. He seen a 5x5 elk but it wasn't big enough. They have to be a 6x6 up here for Elk.

First pic is of Dad and second pic is of Wayne.

Umm

As soon as it's warm enough for the rabbits to come out, I'm going hunting for them?

We don't have enough wilderness OR large enough animals to warrant hunting with a rifle, except maybe for the odd deer.

I was suppose to go with them. But right now school is pretty important. I am doing a course that is online and there is no internet service up there. . . . I also have to get my little sister up and to school in the morning also. She is only 6.

We just had a Pheasant shoot here last weekend. I didn't go but I was out there hunting and I was 150 yards from a 5x6 Whitetail and the bird hunters started shooting and scared the deer away. ARGGG.

I've been in CA for decades. I miss Whitetail jerky. What they call deer here look more like dogs.

As to pigs... anyone who hates pigs has never had west coast wild during the fall. They thrive on acorns, and the flavor (rich and a touch bitter) just perfectly sets off any good BBQ sauce. Honey, habenero, and mustard is a fav here. Don't hate... have another rib.
