Got it to work... finally. This was an online race. It usually turns into the deathtrapp and ep3dmik show.

The light sensor does weird things when i vid off my TV (65' DLP), and Photobucket compresses and ruins quality... but you get the idea of some of the races we have.

Long live the Joystick Jedi!!

You can tell he has more power than i do... pulling me on the straight even when im drafting. We have since then refined the cars to hit fast 1:40's and slow 1:39's.

Ok, please excuse the noobish question. When I finally manage to get my system to update, will I have to be on the internet to run the seasonal events? Or will the only time I need to be on the net when I am doing online racing? This will be the first time I will have tried onlione gaming and I'm looking at my options for internet service.

Online racing is just that... in the Open Lobby. But i doubt the Seasonal Events will update without an internet connection. Dunno, i havent tried to play the game without a connection.

You want the Seasonal events too, as there is usually over $2-3 million available with each update.

Might i suggest a GOOD connection if you plan on some serious online time. I noticed a difference going from a wireless to a wired connection in how the car felt online. With that said, cars tuned online feel different than cars tuned in Practice offline. Its slight, but its there...

Right, I knew I needed to have a connection to get the update. I was wondering if the seasonal events are part of online racing or is it a seperate deal? Based upon what Snoop said it looks like a seperate deal, but I should connect my ps3 every thursday for updates to it. Also are you saying that a LAN wired connection would be better than say using a hotspot card? Thanks for the help guys.

Yes the seasonal events are part of the online racing as are the online used cars

Wait.... I told you that months ago!!!

Even though the PS3 can go wireless, DON'T GO WIRELESS!!!

Wireless technology is not as fast as wired connections when it comes to data transfer rates (downloads and upload of packets). I know wireless gives you mobility and keeps the house clear of ethernet cables, but for gaming, it is not the way to go. If you own your own homes, just install Cat 5 or Cat 6 into your homes.

Man, I need to hurry up and finish my 20 years so I can go into the home networking business....
