I'm aware that Ferrari has been doing that for awhile. As I stated, the F50 was the first I know of where the company owned the cars and leased them to buyers.

But Lexus is NOT Ferrari, NOT EVEN CLOSE to Ferrari, and NEVER WILL BE Ferrari!

My whole point was that they jumped into a league dominated for the last 100 years by manufacturers who don't even produce a sub $100k car all the while being unable to keep their run of the mill cars from having uncontrollable problems and recalls every week. With the great tech the LFA has maybe some of it can find it's way to a Prius, Corolla, Minivan, etc to keep customers from getting killed in them due to no fault of their own!

Don't judge one car on the whole company. Lexus as a whole delivers premium quality cars and offer what some other car companies can't produce. Personally I like the LFA and if I had money to blow on a car I would definitely be looking at this car.

Toyota/lex also built one of the baddest street cars ever the toyata supra twin turbo and the sc300. Its the only import that muscle car guys don't mess with and every kid dreams about. Most have way over 1000hp just up the boost and are drivin on the street the highest to record is 1600hp built street drivin. That will eat a bugati. 0-180 mph in 7 sec or less. This company has been in motor sports for along time. And can build a hell of a car when they put there minds to it. and these cars run 100 k mi plus.

Farrari lambo and the rest can't get 15000 on them before some 5000 doller service needs done to check valves the works and a 20,000doller ceramic brake job needs done.

Actually I have, I think maybe you should..I had a 92 supra, it had 650 hp to the rear wheels but it was not trouble free as you suggest..and by no means am I saying that the supra is not a performer, it's bad in stock form but as you add HP things DO break, if theirs a weak link as you mod you'll find it..

The 2jzgte will hold up to 1000 hp on stock bottom end its pushing it but its all about the tune the rod bearings will go first there a bit too skiny. then pistons can crack and rods will fly if it sees any knock. But people have held it for awhile. You got to think when your out of boost the motor is just running like it would on no boost. so a 1000hp turbo car can run 80k+ miles aslong as it doesn't see boost all that much.
