You haven't heard anything until you have heard a Mclarren F1 start... here, Skip to 4:00 minutes... the most incredible automobile sound ever... (turn up the volume on your speakers)
Yup, that BMW power plant was an excellent choice.

I wish I were the guy making that choice, i'd probably be living in 3 different places, with 10 mclaren F1's on stand by...

Well, the cool thing is, you don't need a million $$ to build a bad ass car. People do it all the time with kits:

The RUF Greenster is the total electric car that flirts with supercar specs. Its a tad heavy, but the power system is capable of close to 760 pound feet of torque.

toyota did them same Porsche thing with a supra except it had generator on each wheel. this is how they ran there anti lock braking and traction control as each wheel had is own generator and could sense weather to brake or apply more power.
