if walmart can sell a brand new mountain bike tire which uses 10 times as much rubber for half the price of rc tires then there got to be some kind price markup. Ok I understand that it takes money in R/D and to compile a tire but that goes away after a first million is sold. Or in case with RC when first 100k are sold.

Maybe the problem is that Walmart doesn't sell RC tires?

well enough companies make tires. They must've all agreed on a price that here we will not go below this % markup.

I'm wondering after the rest of the tire is glued if the seam is sewed with the starting seam would that work better?

The reason RC tires cost more is that they dont sell as much because the RC market is so small compared to anything else. Ten years ago foam tires for sedans used to cost 2 times what they cost now, 200mm sedans started using them and the price droped.

Go to a local bike shop and ask them if they have any tires they're throwing away, they'd probably be more than happy to give them away and save space in their dumpsters.

Those tyers look like they would tear up some dirt! outstanding. I have some bald tires and a local bike shop with piles of tires out back. How does the glue hold up to 4s and a big 1/8 brushless set up? I was thinking epoxy maybe? JB weld them together. But anyways your a smart guy to come up with this idea and to make your own parts. Maybe you should take your creativeness to hobby company where you could have endless possablities
