watched it live, streaming. great race. Missed out on any pre-race shenanigans like last year so did they do something similar?
when Danny's car went kaput, I can't believe they didn't have a horse come pick him up instead. it would have fit with the whole redbull outfit.

Finally abc gets to the start of race. What’s the point of giving ABC the races if local market can bump it from being shown live.

Broadcast contracts. Nobody cares about Formula 1. Welcome to reality.

Iím fully aware of just how low on the scale F1 ratings fall. 300-500,000 viewers are typically for the States. Itís just a waste to let ABC show the race. Keep it on ESPN. From what I saw on Facebook some place got late start. Others had the post race cut completely.

F1ís new owners, Liberty Media, need to fix this. They plan to add a second race here in States. Miami seems to be the lead choice. Why bother.

Something about getting on broadcast TV. ABC can't do anything about the local affiliate.

I subscribed to the F1 TV Pro and it’s great. No need to worry about what time it may or may not start.

what did that cost you?
I'm sure the rest of our friends here are wondering, and then wondering why they pay so much in cable bill for the one show they get up at all hours of the morning (for us in the US) and it can't even start on time. I quit going to the local short track (3x monthly) for the same exact reason.

I looked into it this morning. Iíve got the basic F1 app. Itís about $3 a month or $27 for the year. Not bad if I had more then a phone. Watching full race on phone just usually doesnít work. Though I do watch other races that way. The races on espn have been on time. And when ABC had the Monaco race it was on time. Just seemed absurd that both of the North America races were allowed to be bumped by local. At least itís should be back to espn for rest of the season.

If you have a "smart TV" with Roku OR have a FireTV you can load Mobdro and watch SkySports F1 >> FREE. SkySport the people who really broadcast the F1 feed.

Not currently. But will see by time next season starts. Iíve been ok with ESPNís no commercial coverage. Just was fustrated by ABC.

Missing watching practice now, only basic cable at work.
