Default RC Roadtrip

I will probably never get the time to do this but I have always wanted to take a roadtrip, pack up all my rc stuff, on and offroad, for like 2 weeks and go hit a different track everyday. If you had the opportunity where would you go and why?

I have been wanting to do a similar road trip but to shop, not to race. I collect rc so I have always wanted to hit all the non franchise hobby shops that usually have that long forgotten stash of vintage goodies.

The topic was more for me to see what other people have in mind if they could do it. But I currently own 2 slash's, 1 sc10, 1 tc3, and would probably add a oval pan car to that so I could go run a big high banked oval, I have always wanted to try that. I guess I would just like some variety on the trip but probably more offroad since thats what im more into at the moment.

I did a mini tour earlier this winter.

ran my own track in Nashville, TN dirt 2wd truck offroad friday night and then went to Nexus Saturday in Atlanta, GA and ran 13.5 foam TC and then went to Carbondale, IL Sunday and ran 17.5 12th scale. does that count.

back when I lived in MI in the late 80's I ran wednesday night 4wd oval 15 minutes away and friday night indoor offroad 5 minutes from home then ran saturday afternoon offroad outdoor 15 minutes away again and then saturday night 12th scale onroad 30 minutes from home and then every other week ran a different oval track in a travelling 2wd oval series that could take a hour or so to get to. ah the good ole days.

oh wait ran 12th scale last night does practice count? then 2wd offroad this friday then 8th scale buggy this saturday and rubber 17.5 tc this sunday.

Thats cool! I noticed the retired note next to your name, Im sure that helps give you a little extra time Id really like to do a little east coast tour since your dirt is a little different and it seems like you have more banked ovals out there and I'd just like to see something new. But hey I'm just day dreamin I dont have time to do it for real

retired is more to the travelling I have done. I have run the US indoor champs in cleveland since 2001. roar carpet nats, snowbirds IIC in vegas, halloween classic at the gate all of them every year since 2005. 2004 norrca nats pavement and carpet, 2008 roar pavement nats. summer sizzler 2006 at trackside. invite 2007 the gate. so I've been travelling and making race friends, and getting to see some great racing. but we will see. still want to go to cleveland as it has the tighest competition but the rest may be out. I took over one of the local tracks completely as I was just the announcer/RD and it's taking some time and money that I use to spend on travelling. the most fun I have is going to someone elses track to race so I can just work on my stuff. I'm just trying to keep things going here in nashville. I don't know how long I'll run it before I'm done. get it in while you can. the rush is worth it.
