It says .3300.. Thats a red light!!!
And if you look a bit more closer, you can also see that it says "T TRIALS"

Hmmm...

i wonder what T Trials could stand for.
Possibly.. TIME TRIALS!!!

I crossed the finish line first.

Yes, i jumped the gun.
But it was not an elimination round, it was a time trial.
First one to cross the line in a timed run gets the white slip.
If you lose you get the yellow slip.
Timed runs do not matter to me on who wins or looses.
I simply make 2 runs to find out what my car is going to be running so i can then
dial my car in with that number.

I dont run 1/4 mile usually.

Only time i do that is when i enter a Pinks All Out or Arm Drop Live event.

To find your 1/4 mile time from an 1/8th mile time you multiply your 1/8th mile time by 1.55.

Not sure about the Aquanet, but she seems to be very fond of dad's shoulder.

Maybe she just had an itch.

396 4 speed huh. So that's a true SS then?

That car so reminds me of the one a good friend had. He had a '68, 396, 4 spd., roll cage, etc. Man that thing would corner like it was on rails. He ended up dropping in a 454, turbo400, glass front clip, some other crap I dont even remember. It was primer black, black as night and we used to play a game called "stealthing". On the country roads where we spent most of our time, if you saw your buddy ahead of you, you just turn out the headlights....sneek up on them and pass em. Imagine a 454 primer black chevelle screaming past you at 3 am running headers right to glass packs clipping along at about 80..... You nearly crapped yourself. Man good times, your car brings me back z400, I love it.

Well, not in my car, but here's the original configuration of the custom engine in my boat. When it was finished the engine dyno'd at 765hp with the Whipple supercharger.

But............ It only stayed in the boat one season. After trashing THREE outdrives at about $5K each we yanked the Whipple, and put on an Edelbrock intake and a Holly 850.

I lost over 150hp, but I can still GPS in the mid 70's and have only broken one outdrive in the last 3 years. LOL The only thing I REALLY miss about not having the Whipple is getting the "Holy Sh!t" reactions from people when I popped the engine hatch!

It's a 24' Crownline bowrider. Started out life with a fuel injected 454, but I guess I went through a mid-life crises or something and had the custom supercharged and intercooled 502 built for it. Actually we built it fairly conservatively. Even with the blower it would still run on 93 octane pump gas. We used a low boost pully on the whipple and it has a mild cam. Normally aspirated it dyno's at just over 600hp, although the builder listed it as 550hp to keep me out of the unlimited HP insurance range. Funny thing is that it only runs 5 1/2 mph slower with the carb than with the blower. It takes a ton of HP to make a boat go faster at the top end. This puppy SUCKS the fuel at wide open throttle though. We put a fuel meter on and at WOT it drinks just over a gallon a minute.

From the outside it looks pretty much like a stock boat if you don't listen to the lope of the engine. My favorite thing is to pull up next to some guy who thinks he's hot stuff in daddy's Baja with his girl. Never fails, he slams down the throttle thinking we'll soon be left way behind. LOL I cruise up next to them and salute, then hit it. Talking about deflating an ego when you are blown away by what looks like a standard family runabout!
