Default Trolls

Why have there been so many trolls? Im not trying to be mean but its all the noobs they respond to 7 year old threads! i just saw one and ive been seeing them all over the place.

Noobs: dont look back pages and pages to find a topic you like, and then post in it.

Comments?

There was a thread in the onroad section about 3000mah nimh cells from 7 years ago that a guy posted on about the price of the cells...

Well, at least some of them actually know how to use the search function instead of asking the same stupid questions every day. Now if we could just get them to stop replying.

this is soooo true. i can see bumping a 2 month old thread, or even a 6 month old thread, but not a 7 year old thread

yep!! a troll is like the one guy who keeps getting new user names everytime he gets banned JUST to go bash the caster threads!

Or another guy who frequents all the different li-po threads to harp on the guys who are not buying the gear he thinks is best just to start controversy.

Depends on the reason I guess. I've seen some pretty silly posts on old, old threads, but on the other hand, if someone starts a new thread about something that has already been posted, there are some "forum veterans" that will come back with, "that's already been discussed" or "learn to use the search function you freakin so and so" and these replies are usually not presented in what I'd call a very "PC" manner. So In a way, your damned if you do, damned if you don't. That kind of thing can cause a new user to shy away from the forums and I'd say that's a bad thing. I suppose if you had the same ol' group of 15 or 20 people posting here (like some other forums I can think of) and all of them were up to speed on what had been said from day one, none of that would happen. But it would also get kinda boring.

That'll be 2

heh funny. The ol' "I'm thinking about getting a monster truck" threads seem to be started several times a day. This illustrates my point. Should the guy that brought the thread up again after 7 years, have just started a new one, only to have someone blast him for starting yet another?

+1 on the "learn to use the search function n00b"

If it's so easy to find, instead of posting snobbish comments, why not post a link and help a bruva out....
