I am bulky, not fat. 5'11" 270 lbs. with calves and thighs bigger than most twig boys waists. But that's because of the work I do. I build block, boulder retaining walls, lay paver patios/walks. Heaving and carrying 90lb block and rolling around 300lb boulders all day for 10 yrs will add some muscle mass to yo ass..all over.. arms, legs ,torso
I will say I look fat depending on if I wear loose clothes or not. If I wear tight clothes and am active enough to get the blood flow up, you can tell whats fat and whats not.

On average though I think that there is an even mix with racers as far as weight, I mean since when did size dictate what activities you do.

I can tell you which group of hobbyists smokes more than RCers, (but aren't as fat for obvious reasons). Airsofters! after every match about half of them light up! more smoke comes off the players than off the smoke grenades.

To get back on topic:

Some of the largest people I have ever laid my eyes on are RC people....

Yes, lots of chain smokers in RC...at my local track, there are cigarette butts everywhere!!

And lots of retired motocrossers

As for me I am 300lbs 6'9'' tall and very fit. My wife says I'm handsome and I trust her judgment. I'm very muscular.
Yeah thats it, and I ninja with bad attitude. Hi Yah! I like to wear small shirts it makes my muscles look bigger.
same here at my track.......

I'm 6' 3" 1/2 and weight about 220, I'm not totally muscular because I still have a belly but I'm not totally fat either.
I do know a bunch of overweight R/C'ers and some that are pretty fricckin skinny.
I also have noticed that their are a BUNCH of Smokers at the track.

The best is when this really overweight guy would marshall and bend over. The poor drivers on the stand (or bystanders depending where he faced) would be presented with his half exposed rear. A local racer would always yell out "CRACK KILLS!".
