Default fully working 1/10 RB26DETT

thats right
i recently met someone who built up a mini V8 for his RC.
he can also build a mini nissan skyline GTR motor, the RB26DETT
twin turbo!
made of aluminium, titanium, stainless steel and iron

all fully working, 1/10 scale. for your RC car.
what are your thoughts?
what else would i need to make it fit?

to answer your question, nobody on here can, if its a custome engine then your going to have to make some custom parts.

I want to be friends with your friend, it sounds like he has lots of $$$

What would the gtr motor be worth, or the V8 for that matter??
Just curious as to number of 0's in the figure-

And yes -- pic's are a must when you talk bout things like this.

To bad skylines blow ass.. 90% of the people who jizz in there pants for them never even knew they existed before fast and furious 2.. There heavy, fugly, and just plain retarded.

Anyway

My dad works with a guy who has 3 rc cars with working v8's in them. Ones a drag looking truck, ones a old 32' coupe and the other is a 50's vette. Things are cool as hell but aint as fast as I expected. The guy had $14k into ONE of them (The 32 coupe.. things a piece of art).

LAWLZ chyeah right.. for an engine that can handle upwards of 1000BHP...
ive been around them for most of my life. the first skyline i ever rode in was a 600HP R32 GTR V-spec.. absoulute animal

so no, the fast and the furious didnt influence me in any way.

I know it's just a game and it doesnt even come close to replicating one in real life, but i've had plenty of fun racing one in Gran Tourismo...

It's as close as i'll ever get to owning one

thats no big deal. ya its cool, but you give me $50,000(less than the base of the gtr) and i can put together a supra that would beat any skyline/gtr. the skyline is all hipe, and it IS only popular because of 2F2F.

o and BTW... a 2JZ can handle almost 1500BHP with the stock block.

2JZ's are awesome. there was one at the melbourne autosalon that pulled 2000HP
that was phenomenal.

i dont think skylines are all hype though. but i guess u need to be an enthusiast to look at them my way

The real problem is, you are not a automotive connoisseur.... The R32 GT-R was Nissan's attempt to put a certified race car in the hands of daily drivers; the reason why they are heavy is because it is built as passenger car. The public demand for the GT-R there caused Nissan to make a very limited number for them, which put the GT-R up to supercar status. The engine, tranny, fuel management system braking and suspension systems are taken directly off the race car, and mounted in a passenger format. Eliminate passenger components, replace sheet metal fenders, quarter-panel, bumpers and hood with C/F and you will have yourself a time attack bullet. We are talking TT power-plants pushing over 700 WHP, with the right modifications. That is the major reason why GT-Rs were never shipped to the US until now. Yes, I been a R32 and up fan since '02... a guy from Canada brought his TT'd R32 down to a Nissan meet.

Oh, then there was the Initial D series I accumulated....

GT-Rs are not as "heavy" as you perceive they are.

Let me ask you this, with an engine like that, are you willing to put money on running that engine WOT (wide open throttle) from Florida to Texas, without having to work on it? I am all for horsepower, but it is useless for me if it can't handle turns.

Or hold up.

If anyone scale down a rotary engine to 1:10 scale, he will be placed up there with the guy who built a 1:5 scale Ferrari....from scratch!!!!
