Questions?? Can YOU use your computer with ONLY the keyboard?

Can YOU use your computer with ONLY the keyboard?

My friends have dared me to use only the keyboard on all of the computers I use for a week! I accepted it, bieng the man I am. I'll admit, it's annoying, but at least I can do it. I've disconnected the mouse on my home computer, and am using ONLY the keyboard.

So the question is, can YOU use ONLY the keyboard? I personally challenge you to go without for a day! Can you do it, or are you technologically inept?

This might be a really stupid question but how do you click on stuff without a mouse? I know how to scroll with just a keyboard but not click with a keyboard.

I don't know all the keyboard tricks but to make this post I used tab to scroll through all the clickable links and once "quote" was highlighted I hit shift + enter to click on it.

After posting I realized that it opened it in a new browser window but that was the only way I could get it to work because just hitting enter wasn't working. Now it is. Strange.

some items work with 'spacebar' some work with 'enter'

You may want to search microsoft's site for the Keyboard Equivalent Commands.. or something along those lines. For every command there's supposedly a 2nd. ie, one for right handed persons and one for lefthanded.

i usually split the work 60/40 mouse/keyboard during regular use.

copy/paste, going to the desktop, alt+tab between windows, closing windows and so on.

oh, and i just installed a new FF add-on to ctrl+tab between tabs. =D

SINCHY!!!

I've got Dragon, so all I have to do is speak into the microphone! And just to show how old I am, I was using computers when mice were just something that ate all your cookies, and cookies were a good thing! Back then PC had no meaning whatsoever. Giant reel to reel baby!!!
