We're reverting back to simpler times for the 2018 points season. Eliminating POPs altogether. Simply track/count regular points, including stage points, and number of wins.

At the end of the regular season reset the points (for all of those who played the majority of the year) as follows

1st..1000pts
2nd..980pts
3rd..970
4th..965
5th..960
6th..955
and -5pts per spot going down.

PLUS add 5pts per regular season win..
After the reset..

Pick one Playoff/Chase driver and one non Playoff/Chase driver, you get combined points PLUS 5pts for a win. Again, no POPs involved. You don't HAVE to pick a playoff driver, you can pick 2 non playoff drivers if you want.

Tie breakers..1) Most wins 2) Most points earned during the playoffs..if those don't work.....then we'll punt I guess..lol

*we start with the actual 500, no dual race points or anything like that.

* Everyone will get ONE drop during the regular season

Chase points after week 10:

Oasis - 1699 2 WINS
wingracer - 1669 1 WIN
racer1812 - 1664 2 WINS
jiml - 1662 1 WIN
Mrs. D - 1636
KA2AEV - 1629 3 WINS
chevyrat - 1628
Johnn27 - 1624
Golddust - 1609 3 WINS
Digit09 - 1577 1 WIN
Peter George - 1471

Ugh. I was going to take the 18 but everyone else was jumping on that bandwagon so I took Denny just to be different.

I almost didn't get on the bandwagon, but then I realized it's Bristol.

As far as the site, don't use IE. Chrome works much better.

Not what I meant bud. I meant the points from each individual race.

Now I'm curious, why did you have to revise week 7?

Ok, is this a good time to ask you to fix your math in the wiki???? I'll get them together, must be the quarterly audit for the 9 fingered accountant.

Class is in session..

I was watching youtube last night and I believe it was nascar's own channel talking about the mustang is coming to nascar in 2019?? Then I also see these headlines the last 2 days about ford/mustang coming to SuperCars..
So can anyone tell me why this looks way cooler and more identifiable than what the likely rendition in nascar will end up looking like?

Because of NASCAR's common template rules. NASCAR doesn't want one car to have an aerodynamic advantage over the other 2.

At least it's a Mustang, and not a Fusion. I wouldn't call the Fusion a performance car. Except for the plug in hybrid model.

So the unanswered question..

are all Nascar's downsizing again..

or is the Mustang growing ??????????????
I think 1965 was the LAST year Nascar used a Normal full size body..

1966 was running the Chevelle
.
