My firt R/C car was a Jerobee 1/12 scale with an 049 motor & a hard plastic dodge challenger body came out around 1975/6.My second car was a associated 12e I went to my first carpet race full of piss & vinegar thinking I would clean everyones clock......It was very humbling.
Then it was a 12i,tamiya toms porche,tamiya boomerang,parma panther,12l,sp12,sp10,rc10l,associated rc300,sp12g(probably my most favorite car),cefx phoenix,crc x.

Futaba FX-10. Still have it with the mechanical speed controller, and it still works.

I found a photo of myself as a kid (6yrs old perhaps?) of me holding a gas control line plane.......prob mid 70's

Does that count as 'first RC' ?

Associated RC10B3, which I got in June 2000 I believe...the local track didn't have a Novice class so I ran in Stock Buggy in my first race...and didn't place last haha.

A year later I got my first nitro, an Associated RC10GT...loved that truck. It's a shame the class is not very active anymore. I would love to get myself a GT2.

Same here...I never understood why the nitro stadium truck class is dead, yet the electric one is the most popular at most tracks...

My first ever RC was a Tamiya super hornet around 2003

My first nitro car was a colt (not sure which one) around 2005

I then got a Thunder tiger Ts4n around 2006

I now have 3 G4's, a Caster 1/8 nitro buggy and a Cen MG10tr 1/10 stadium truck and i still have the Super hornet to remind me why i got into the hobby in the first place.......fun.
