Living on the opposite side of the globe the names that always appeared in the early 90's were:

Reedy
Losi
Johnson
Kinwald

and still are.

We are talking about 15-16 years ago Where have the years gone LOL.

I think recognising what people have done for the hobby is a good thing. Does IFMAR havesuch a thing?

For instance it wouldn't have to be a building for instance it could be a website dedicated to the H.O.F. also maybe a few pages in the rule book. You could have a small awards ceremony at a national event were these guys might race at, and bada boom bada bing they are inducted.

The posts in this thread have dealt mainly with guys who have impressed with their racing prowess but if this project develops any steam we need to be mindfull of people who were (are) leaders (i'm going to hate myself for posting examples because I know I'm going to overlook people) such as George Siposs , Roy Moody , Bob Stevens , Gene Hustings , Mike Reedy who got the ball (or kept it ) rolling, and I've got a particular fondness for the inventors Bill Campbell , Dell Fisher , Roger Curtis , John Thorp , Jack Jacobs etc.etc. Hey Doug McNeely how about some help here

As long as you keep Ernie Provetti out of it, it's all good!

Bob Welch comes to mind also.
He was the co-founder of Model Racing Products, aka MRP.

Well if were going to throw names out, I think Ken and Bill Cambell should be in there some where. I think Mr Carbonell would agree with this too.

Rick Davis, Robert Poage, Ron Paris. These 3 plus many more all influenced me in the early years of my Hobby participation. They have contributed so much over the years.

A vote for Bud Bartos!!! You guys pick the reason, driver, innovator, manufacture, all around fun guy…any of them work for me.

I of course agree with every name mentioned. A great idea.

And a little gem to go with the subject:

Now that he has a World Title, I think Burch should be in there.
