No, I use the same solder the whole time I use a motor, never really seems to make any difference.

Depending on how many times you run it and how much dust and dirt there is. Racing I clean my motor after the race is over sometimes even between heat's. I guess cleaning it once a week is not a bad idea though.

it has a GX15, so a .15 engine. if that doesnt work do you know of a good engine?

I would stay with a .15. I know that Novarossi has good motor's, a O.S. .15 would be a good motor as well, I had one in my old touring car for a little bit.

It just depends on what motor you get. You can make it a hell of allot faster if you have the right motor/pipe and header combo. Just look for the power ratings on motors and RPM as well, and compare.

well my motor doesnt come with nay info on rpm aND hp. but im guessing around a half hp, which btw, how is hp in rc measured???
does it mean that the little 1.5 hp nitro engine has the power of that many horses if geared rifght? or what?

I'm not sure if that is how it is done, I'm sure it isn't but you never know.........

I think when I took my Aftershock mud running I got a little water in the motor, there was rust on the crank last night..........I'll have pic's in the nitro engine zone
